CYBERJAYA, 16 AUGUST 2018 – The United Nations Global Compact Network Malaysia was pleased to support the recent Sustainable Housing Futures Conference which was organised by the Asia Pacific CSR Council and Limkokwing University of Creative Technology. Themed “The New Urban Agenda”, the programme was supported by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government.
The objective of the conference was to discussed the area of challenges, policies, best practices and others in line with the sustainable development strategies to improve the living conditions for human being so that an equitable society can be attain. A sustained housing development plan is one of the sustainable development agendas that encourages involvement from both the public and private sectors in contributing to sustainability agenda.
Approximately 500 delegates attended the high impact conference. Mr. Rashvin Pal Singh, President of United Nations Global Compact Network Malaysia (UNGC) presented a Keynote Address on the Importance of SDG for Future Housing Developments. Key players from the industry such as the President of Real Estate & Housing Developers’ Association (REHDA) Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Fateh Iskandar discussed on the Challenges in the development of Sustainable Housing. Other key speakers were from The European Union to Malaysia and PNB Development.
